Ricoh is set to release its new GR IV compact camera in mid-September, priced at $1,499.95, alongside a small GF-2 add-on flash for $119.95. The GR IV continues the legacy of the GR series with an ultra-compact body suited for street photography. Compared to competitors like Fujifilm’s X100VI, the Ricoh GR IV is more compact and pocket-friendly, but it lacks a viewfinder and has a slower aperture. Notably, the price has increased significantly from under $1,000 for the original GR III in 2019 to $1,500, reflecting recent market price hikes and changes in tariffs, making it a pricier option in its category.
