The Nvidia app is receiving significant upgrades this week, including a global DLSS override, enhanced control panel features like anisotropic filtering, anti-aliasing, and ambient occlusion, and integration of the Nvidia Surround setup tool. Gamers no longer need to use the older control panel app for classic game settings. The new global DLSS override allows users to apply DLSS preferences across all supported games, with an overlay displaying active settings. Nvidia is also expanding its AI-driven Smooth Motion feature from only RTX 50-series to all RTX 40-series GPUs, improving gameplay smoothness by effectively doubling perceived frame rates. Additionally, the G-Assist AI assistant’s memory usage has been optimized by 40%, enhancing responsiveness. These updates will be available to beta users on August 19th, with a general release following soon after.
