
Taking a purposeful break from my phone was intimidating at first. Leaving the house without it felt surreal - no quick photos, no endless scrolling in line, and no immediate access to information in emergencies. Yet, I decided to rely solely on an LTE smartwatch for a week, curious to see if I could cope with much less screen time. As an elder millennial, I realize how dependent I am on my phone, both personally and professionally. This experiment challenged my habits and gave me a new perspective on phone use and digital dependency.
