Pete Parsons, CEO of Bungie for over a decade, has announced his departure from the company. With more than 20 years at Bungie, Parsons led the studio through the successful launch of Destiny 2 and its expansion, The Final Shape. In 2022, Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired Bungie for $3.6 billion. Despite challenges including layoffs and delays in the new game Marathon, Parsons reflects on the studio's achievements and partnership with Sony. Justin Truman, a Bungie veteran since 2010 and current chief development officer, will take over leadership. Truman confirms the team is focused on progressing both Marathon and Destiny, promising updates later this year.
