Amazon has discontinued the cloud-based Alexa skill for Sengled's smart lighting products after months of recurring outages. Although some Sengled bulbs using local protocols like Matter may still function with Echo devices, the ability to control Sengled's range of LED lights, plugs, switches, and sensors via Alexa voice commands and routines has been removed starting August 1st. Amazon cited unresolved prolonged issues that disrupted the Alexa experience as the reason for removing Sengled from its Works With Alexa program.
