Airbnb has launched a new 'reserve now, pay later' feature for users in the US, allowing them to book vacation rentals without immediate payment. Payment is required before the end of the free cancellation period to give hosts a chance to rebook if needed. This option is available only for stays with moderate or flexible cancellation policies. However, fees for travel insurance, climate contributions, or other add-ons will still be charged upfront. Unlike the existing partial payment option, this new method lets users delay all payments until later. The service is supported by Klarna's buy now, pay later payment system.
