John Deere has unveiled JD, an AI assistant designed to respond to plain-language queries using data from a farm’s machines and fields. The launch coincides with a ten-point voluntary Farmer Data Commitment aimed at data transparency and protection. In the European Union, these commitments align closely with regulations under the Data Act, which prohibits manufacturers from using farm data to infer operational details without consent.
