ChatGPT Dominates AI Referral Traffic, Driving Over 95% to Websites in August

In August, ChatGPT accounted for 95.1% of all AI chatbot referral traffic to websites, marking its highest share this year, BrightEdge reports. The search marketing firm highlighted a 101% increase in ChatGPT's referral traffic from January to August. Gemini followed with 2.4%, while Perplexity and Claude contributed 1.1% and 0.8%, respectively.
