Meta initially enforced comprehensive monitoring on its US employees' work devices, tracking keystrokes, mouse activity, and screenshots to enhance AI training, with no opt-out option, as stated by technology chief Andrew Bosworth. However, following significant internal pushback including over 1,500 petition signatures, the company announced it will now permit employees to pause this tracking for 30-minute intervals.
