EU to Reserve Majority of Mobile-Satellite Spectrum for European Companies

The European Commission is set to announce a proposal to allocate two-thirds of the EU's 2 GHz mobile-satellite spectrum exclusively for European operators. This move restricts Starlink, Amazon’s Project Kuiper, and other non-European firms to competing for only the remaining one-third of the spectrum. The proposal aims to prioritize European companies in the future mobile-satellite services market.
