Google Fixes Multiple Chrome Vulnerabilities Including Exploited V8 Flaw

On September 3, Google addressed 12 security vulnerabilities in the Chrome browser, notably including CVE-2026-85046—a type confusion flaw in the V8 JavaScript engine that has been actively exploited. This marks the sixth such V8 vulnerability this year. Additionally, the Cyber Resilience Act will come into effect eight days later, mandating device manufacturers to report any actively exploited security issues within 24 hours of discovery.
