At Anime Expo 2025, Netflix announced Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, a new season of the anime spinoff based on the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. This coming 10-episode season introduces a fresh storyline and new characters set in Night City. The show will continue with a darker, sadder, and bloodier tone as described by showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, who aims to evoke powerful emotions. Directed by Kai Ikarashi, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 follows a raw tale of redemption and revenge in a city driven by violence, following the conclusion of David’s story from season one. A teaser trailer blending clips from the first season and new concept art was also released, but the premiere date has yet to be announced.
