Technology is evolving faster than traditional models used by nonprofits to create impact, prompting organizations to choose between optimizing existing approaches or innovating for the future. Our leadership team recently decided to pivot toward preparing nonprofits for an AI-first future, teaching them to build and scale impact with AI themselves rather than just matching them with tech builders. Recent reports highlight a gap where nonprofits are ready for AI but lack funding, understanding, and infrastructure to implement it effectively. The biggest challenge isn’t technology but capacity. Thus, we are building an AI enablement ecosystem that supports nonprofits in prototyping AI tools, scaling proven solutions, and developing shared infrastructure to foster responsible growth in the AI era. Being AI-native means deeply integrating AI into processes to improve efficiency and focus human effort on meaningful relationships. For nonprofits to scale safely and responsibly with AI, a shared infrastructure of capacity, governance, and collaboration is essential. We believe the future requires courage to rebuild while current systems still function to harness new technological possibilities responsibly.
