The 2025 Fall Update bolsters integration across Windows, Edge, and Microsoft 365 and highlights twelve new features designed to enhance productivity and collaboration. Key additions include Groups for multi-user brainstorming, Imagine for creative AI content generation, and Mico—a new expressive AI assistant that provides emotional and visual feedback reminiscent of iconic Microsoft assistants like Clippy. Other highlights include Real Talk for adaptive conversation, Memory & Personalization for long-term context retention, and integration with multiple productivity apps through Connectors. Microsoft is shifting from OpenAI models to its proprietary MAI (Microsoft AI) models, emphasizing in-house development for improved seamlessness and control.
