Meta’s Ambitious AI Plan to Reduce Teams by 60% Falls Short

Earlier this year, Meta initiated a plan, dubbed Project OT (Organization Transformation), aimed at replacing a significant portion of its employees’ work with AI agents. The plan envisioned cutting team sizes by around 60%, but as the AI technology failed to meet expectations, the company decided to scale back the most aggressive parts of the initiative.
