The first time I used ChatGPT for coding in early 2023, it reminded me of “The Monkey’s Paw,” where wishes are granted but with unintended consequences. ChatGPT would implement requested changes literally, often causing unrelated code scramble. The output was usually over-engineered and cluttered with irrelevant code fragments. Although some lines were useful, sorting through the mess was a detour. Since then, my experience with AI-assisted tools has evolved.
