EU Seeks Independence from Foreign Cloud, Semiconductor, and AI Technologies

Currently, three US-based cloud providers dominate 70% of the European market, raising concerns about dependency. The European Commission is launching a sovereignty package aimed at reducing reliance on non-European cloud services, chips, and AI technologies to strengthen the continent’s digital autonomy.
