Elon Musk announced new “Companions” avatars for the SuperGrok AI chatbot, including Ani, an anime-themed avatar, and Rudy, a cartoon red panda. Ani features an “NSFW” mode with lingerie attire, leading to NSFW video content on social media. Currently accessible through settings, Musk noted plans to simplify activation. While free users might also access these avatars, a third character, “Chad,” is reportedly in development. The addition of these animated companions comes shortly after Grok faced controversy for antisemitic content, which xAI attributed to an upstream code update.
