Deel, an HR and payroll platform, raised $300 million in a new funding round at a $17.3 billion valuation. The round was led by Ribbit Capital with support from Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue Management, and others. This funding boost occurs during a rise in HR tech investments globally, with $1.9 billion raised so far in 2025. Despite a corporate espionage scandal with rival Rippling, Deel’s strong business metrics impressed investors, including $100 million revenue last month, $1 billion in ARR, and over 37,000 businesses served. Since 2019, Deel has raised nearly $1.3 billion and plans to use the new funds for acquisitions, expanding to over 100 countries by 2029, and advancing automation and AI solutions.
