Comcast Streamlines Xfinity Internet Plans, Eliminates Data Caps

Comcast is simplifying its Xfinity internet offerings nationwide by introducing four straightforward plans: 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps, 1 Gbps, and 2 Gbps. These come with three pricing options—a standard monthly rate without price guarantees, a discounted rate with a one-year price lock, and a slightly higher rate with a five-year price lock. All plans feature truly unlimited data, dropping previous data caps, and include an Xfinity WiFi Gateway and a complimentary year of Xfinity Mobile service. Current customers on other plans may keep their existing service until they choose to repackage. This update aligns with Comcast’s recent enhancements such as the five-year price lock and deployment of “ultra-low lag” technology to reduce latency in select cities, enhancing experiences with services like FaceTime and Nvidia GeForce Now.
