Apple is gearing up to release its first smart glasses next year, featuring cameras, microphones, and speakers. These glasses will support Siri voice commands, live translations, phone calls, music control, and navigation. They will have an in-house chip but augmented reality features are expected to be years away. The glasses are said to be similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses but superior in build quality. While Apple has canceled plans for a smartwatch with AI and camera features, it continues to develop AirPods with cameras. This move comes amidst increased competition from tech giants like Meta, Google, and others advancing in the smart glasses space.
