Basic-Fit, Europe’s largest budget fitness chain by club number, has reported a data breach affecting its members across several European countries. Approximately 200,000 members in the Netherlands are among those impacted. The compromised information includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and bank account details. Importantly, no passwords or identity documents were accessed during the incident. The Dutch Data Protection Authority has been informed, and Basic-Fit, which operates over 1,300 clubs in seven countries, is addressing the situation.
